Wesley UMC’s Mardi Gras on Saturday, 3/3/12 is a wonderful opportunity for enjoyment, community and stewardship – both that evening and throughout the year! Everyone is encouraged to participate. Volunteers, please sign up in the Mardi Gras info area or the welcome office. You may offer a service, activity or event any time throughout the year and/or bid on an offering yourself! Forms, poster boards and an example offerings list are located in the “Mardi Gras” info area, to the left of the “coffee and donuts” window in Brewer Hall. Outreach & Mission offerings are welcomed, in addition to fun, fellowship & learning offerings.
Mardi Gras activities & events may take place at your location or at Wesley Church itself, as a way to potentially invite even more people to participate throughout the year — if there are still open slots. (A good will offering will be suggested for those joining in later). A calendar of available spaces/dates/times at Wesley for your event/activity will be provided.
We hope everyone will participate. Free, limited bidding vouchers will be available in the office for those with financial need. Members may consider donating $ towards vouchers for others, if they feel moved to do so. Please consider inviting those who don’t drive, shut-in’s and friends outside the church! Fun includes entertainment such as an African Dance by youth/children and activities such as board games, crafts, and more!
March 3, 2012 Mardi Gras – Bidding 4-6 PM; Dinner 6 PM; Entertainment 7 PM; Auction Results & Payment: 8 PM. Fellowship & fun activities throughout the evening!
