Pastor Shandirai Mawokomatanda

PastorPastor Shandi Mawokomatanda hails from Zimbabwe in origin and has been serving with Wesley since July, 2009. His name, Shandirai, is an imperative form of the Shona verb, kushanda which means “to serve”. It is as if his name predestined his calling for Pastor Shandi understands himself to be a servant-leader.  The son of a Pastor, Shandi has grown up in the church and is pleased to be numbered among Christ’s servant ministers.

    From Many, One...  On the eve of the Presidential Inauguration, Thursday, Jan. 19th  from 7-8 pm, Wesley Church will host an interfaith prayer service. Rabbi Valerie Cohen, the Rev. Jose Encarnacion, and Dr. Amjad Bahnassi will speak. Members of all faiths are invited to attend.
